Medical Device Manufacturer
A medical device manufacturer had to run 100+ automatic repeat autoclave cycles. Finding an autoclave manufacturer who could provide this type of equipment was difficult enough, but monitoring the cycles – which could run for days at a time – was even more challenging. Often the engineers would start a repeat cycle on a Friday, expecting to come in Monday morning to find the cycle completed, only to find something had gone wrong over the weekend – which meant they had to start over from the beginning. They began to look for a solution that could provide remote reporting of autoclave cycles, and that’s where Jellybean came in. Jellybean not only provided their engineers with continuous remote cycle status, but also reporting on cycle faults – so when problems do occur – they can be resolved immediately, not wait for the disappointment that comes on Monday morning.
New Jersey University
A New Jersey University had to support a large and growing biology department with a single autoclave. Finding an autoclave manufacturer who could provide reliable equipment was quite a challenge, but that was only part of the problem. Since the department was spread out across several floors, and the machine would be shared by a large number of staff, it was difficult for anyone to know if the autoclave was available at any given time, and walking down the hall, and up the stairs, several times a day, just to find the machine already in use, was not a practical solution – particularly when you’re transporting biohazardous waste, or valuable biological samples. Jellybean provided the perfect solution. Now everyone in the department has live cycle status available 24×7, from any Internet-connected device – no more wasted trips down the hall, or up the stairs.
